Cameron Highlands, Pahang is said to be the largest hill resort that is located in Malaysia. It is situated in the northwestern edge of the Pahang State. Known for its natural beauty and lush greenery, it is situated in the altitude of 6001 feet above the sea level. The name Cameron Highlands was given after a surveyor known as William Cameron, who discovered the plateau in the year 1885. That plateau was known for its height of 4,500 feet. It was in the year of 1925 that this plateau was recognized to be a hill resort. Accordingly it was beautified and developed as a tourist spot. Cameron Highlands, Pahang is a place which grabs the attention of many tourists from all over the world and is popularly known as “Green Bowl”.

Cameron Highlands is a cluster of townships which include places like Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Brinchang.
