Casa Kimberley is one of the major Tourist Attractions in and around Puerto Vallarta. Located in the downtown area of Gringo Gulch, Casa Kimberley is in reality are two residences instead of one, belonging to famous Hollywood actors Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The residences of the two actors are located on the opposite sides of the road and are joined by a bridge. Elizabeth Taylor, popularly known as Liz Taylor met Richard Burton during the shooting of "Cleopatra". Their meeting resulted into the malicious gossip of the decade as they were both married at the time, but not to each other. In reality, both Taylor and Burton bought homes across the street and in due time the area became famous as the home one of the most famous romantic couple of Holywood. Liz Taylor's house is situated on the north side of the street whereas Richard Burton's house is located on the south side. Interestingly, there is no main floor entrance to Richard Burton's house. To maintain his privacy, the only entrance to his place is through the pink arch from Liz Taylor's house.
Casa Kimberley is the place where the couple raised 4 children. Casa Kimberley is currently rented as a Bread and Breakfast Accommodation (B&B). The rooms of the children whom the couple raised are rented to provide accommodation to the tourists. Each of the rooms at the B&B is named after one or the other film of Liz Taylor. The B&B stated at Casa Kimberley only after Liz Taylor sold out her possession in 1990. As she left most of her belongings, you will find that most of the furniture at the accommodation are real.
