Puerto Vallarta has many beaches which are remote and are accessible only by charter boats as well as water taxis. But the tranquility found on Las Animas Beach is nowhere to be found. The Las Animas Beach is situated on the south coast of Puerto Vallarta and it is a great place to spend sunbathing, snorkeling or swimming under the protected coves of calm waters.
The beach of Las Animas provides a panoramic view with the white sand meeting the clear blue waters of the Banderas bay. One of the cheap ways to reach the beach is to walk to Basilo badillo and get up in a green and blue bus marked Boca. Then take the bus to Boca De Tomatlan and get down and walk down to the palapas on the beach cove. Then talk to the captain of a water taxi and reach Las Animas beach.
The Las Animas beach is calm and with the sand much softer than Los Muertos. One will come across many restaurants with beach chairs. There is also a volley ball court. The beach is filled with children playing and laughing around and ladies strolling along the beach. One can rent a horse to go to nearby water fall. Facility exists for parasailing activity.
One can do shopping at the few tiendas. The water taxis leave at frequent intervals and the last on leaves around 4:00 pm.
