Naval Museum, Monaco is one of the most famous museums located in the country. Monaco, a principality in Europe is one of the most popular tourist destinations. There is a collection of a different kind in the museum in that it is a collection of almost 250 models of sea vessels. Some of these vessels belong to the H.S.H which is the private collection of the Sovereign Prince.

The Naval Museum, Monaco houses models of many ships including war ships, training ships, sailing ships and many others. There are superb models of transatlantic vessels like the Normandie and the Titanic. Some of these ships are as long as ten feet. These stand beside some of the models of the best exploration ships including the “Pourquoi Pas” belonging to Captain Charcot; Alcyon and Calypso belonging to Captain Cousteau. There is also the Antarctica by Dr. Jean-Louis Etienne. There are impressive warships including the battleship Missouri, Jeanne d’arc. There are Japanese torpedoes as well that are present in the Naval Museum, Monaco. There are a whole range of impressive carriers that are present too. You would be acquainted with the amazing naval history on your visit to the museum. There are roman boats as well as present day sea vessels that can be found here. The museum is open daily and the duration of the visit is 45 minutes to an hour.

The Naval Museum, Monaco also houses a good collection of magnificent antique models that previously was the property of Prince Rainier of Monaco. For example the wonderful Fiorentino Emigrato which was made in the 17th century.
