Observatory Caves: These are underground caves within the Exotic Garden and consist of various concretions of stalagmites, stalactites and limestone in form of spaghetti, curtain, columns and many more. An idea about the climate prevailing 2, 50, 000 years ago can also be acquired by visiting these caves. The chalky walls reflect that the caves are made of calcareous rocks formed due to presence of carbon dioxide in the water.
The Prehistoric Anthropology Museum: This is the Museum founded by Prince Albert I in 1902. The Museum traces some of the most important stages of the history of the mankind, from Australanthropus, Pithecanthropus to the Homo sapiens fossils. There are many tombs in the Museum from the areas in the proximity to the Principality. The most notable one is from Grimaldi in Italian Liguria.
