The Island of Mozambique that is situated off the northern Mozambique near the African coastline is famous because it is home to the various World Heritage Sites in Mozambique. The historical facts regarding the island states that its natural harbor were used by both the Arab merchants and the Indian merchants as a maritime trading centre from the 10th to the late 15th century.
