The Thanboddhay Pagoda in Monywa are among the most prominent of Monywa Tourist Attractions. It is a pagoda complex located in Upper Myanmar and is set in a marvelous combination glass mosaic, spires, gild and relief work. A pair of white elephants are symbolically placed to guard the gates of the pagoda. There are many significant Budhha images of various sizes that adorns the walls of this structure along with a magnificent prayer hall. The compound of the Thanboddhay Pagoda has a large square pool with a variety of fishes and turtles which is a common feature in many pagodas.
