Grote Kerk, Alkmaar: Information
Grote Kerk, Alkmaar is traditionally not only the largest and highest church in Alkmaar, but also is there for ages and is regarded as the most extensive and frequently visited jewel of the city. The building was basically dedicated to St. Laurens and so the Church is identified as Lang St. Laurenskerk for centuries.
The church is in all likelihood planned by the architect Malinois Anthonius Keldermans In addition, Anthonius Keldermans, his brother Mathias and his son Anthony mentioned in the draft, contributed heavily in the construction of the place. It includes The Great St. Laurenskerk. It is a basilica in De Stijl of the Brabant Gothic, which has greater numbers of shape than the French Gothic.

Fish Hall Tour: It involves touring from the Grote Kerk, Alkmaar's main street, the Langestraat and runs east to the Mient which is the Fish Hall. At the right side is the Town Hall and in Doelenstraat and on the left, is the Municipal Museum.
Wildemans Hofje: The Wildemans Hofje in the Oude Gracht was originally a shelter and was changed into a temporary church in 1658.
