Bridge over Rhine: This bridge built over the Rhine was held by the British against odd situations during the airborne operation in the year 1944. It is now known as the John Frost Bridge in the honor of the commander of the paratroops and now regarded as a historic site.

Airborne monument: The Airborne monument is situated in the residential suburb of Oosterbeek along with Airborne Museum. Both these two structures have historical importance as they were the headquarters of the British Command during the Arnhem operation.

Bronbeek museum: This museum is located in the Arnhem suburb of Bronbeek between Arnhem and Velp. This was once the home of a soldier and was occupied by the army veterans and invalids. The mementos which they brought with them are showcased in the museum.

Dorwerth castle: The Dorwerth castle, a historical site, was built in the 13th century and was expanded in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the year 1944, the castle was completely destroyed. It took some thirty-seven years and a lot of toil to restore it to its former state.

Grote kerk: The Grote Kerk is located at the north end of the Arnhem market which was severely damaged during the Second World War but was later on rebuilt. One can get a beautiful view from the top of its tower. The monument was built in the memory of the last Duke of Gelderland, Charles of Egmond, who was an opponent of Charles V.

Open air Museum: This picturesque museum is situated to the north of Arnhem. It was founded in the year 1912 and initially concentrated on the working conditions of the rural people but as days passed started concentrating on the industrial and urban setting.
