The Limburg Museum of Art and Antiquities, Maastricht is known to be one of the most important museums of Limburg. The Limburg Museum of Art and Antiquities, Maastricht is located in the Ceramique avenue of Maastricht town.

The Limburg Museum of Art and Antiquities, Maastricht was housed at some other location from the year 1987 to the year 1993. The name of the museum also known as Bonnefentan or 'well behaved children' is derived from the upbringing of children by the Sepulchrine nuns who brought up girls in a wonderful manner. Some part of the museum now houses the University library.

The Limburg Museum of Art and Antiquities, Maastricht has a tall tower which was designed by the Milanese architect Aldo Rossi who designed a palace like edifice. This structure opened in the year 1995. The museum contains old paintings from the south of Netherlands. It also has a collection of Italian and modern art. The museum also houses goods from the medieval periods of history and is located near St Servaaskerk.The museum also houses many items which reflect the lifestyles and culture of the common people during ancient times. Traditional costumes belonging to different periods are also seen in the museum.

The museum is closed on Monday but open on all other weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm. It is always closed on New Year's Day and Christmas. A certain amount of fees are charged while entering the museum. Children who are 13 years of age or under have a free entry to the museum. The museum also has a restaurant and offers excellent food services inside its premises.
