Queen Street- This is a reputed street all over the country. It is said to be the most expensive squares in New Zealand. The Auckland Domain- This is the city’s oldest park. It is spacious and diverse. The 75 hectare park has been built and promoted around the cone of an extinct volcano. The tuff rings created by volcanic activity is evident in the land contours and forms. The park has many formal gardens, green lawns bordered by mature trees and impressive statuary.
Parnell Village- This place of attraction is just a few minutes to the West of the Domain. It contains some of the best known historic sites of the city. One can come across the first settler’s houses, church, and cemetery. The village is replete with Victorian buildings, galleries, antique shops and shops of arts and crafts
Tamaki Drive- This is a playground for the Aucklanders. Takaparawha or the Bastion Point, Orakei, Mission Bay, Kohimarama, Vellenoweth Green and St. Heliers are all attractions on either side of the road along the way.
Mount Eden- This is a dormant volcano whose summit offers excellent panoramic views of the city and harbors. From this fantastic vantage point one can come to know about Auckland’s volcanic history.
