Holt Forest Trust: This is situated in the north of Napier. The plot for the forest was purchased by Harold Holt in the year 1933 who purchased about 15 hectares of land. He and his wife spent about 50 years to develop this area in to a large forest with different forms of trees. The main trees that can be found are the redwood, Douglas fir and kahikatea. Many species of birds can be found in this place such as the fantails, grey warblers and wax-eyes dart.
Sanctuary Gardens: This garden is one of the star attraction of the Napier Travel. It is also used as a beautiful venue for different types of wedding and ceremonies. The main features of the garden include the marquee, luxury honeymoon cottage and beautiful garden.
Trelinnoe Park: This place is regarded as one of the finest woodland gardens in New Zealand and is another major attraction of the Tour to Napier. The Park is located in the centre of Napier, Hawke's Bay Museum
Museums: Among the museums the Hawke’s Bay Museum deserves special mention. The museum is located in the centre of Napier and is open on all days of the week. The various dresses and jewelry that are on display clearly depicts the fashion trends during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. The museum has two entrances, one off the Marine Parade and another one off Herschell Street. Children has a free entry to this museum.
