The Grand Mosque, Zinder has the architecture of Birnin quarter and is one of the best example of Hausa architecture. This building was built around 19th century. There are different celebrations of festivals, parades and official ceremonies that take place at this place. Another place to take a rest is Center Culture Franco-Nigerian (CCFN). The newly opened art gallery and the garden cafe are nice place to visit.

There is a small airport in Zinder which has regular flights from Niamey. One can also come by bus from neighboring cities and countries.
