Ibadan houses one airport called the Ibadan Airport. It is a domestic airport served by the airline, Overland Airways. More than 325 passengers fly from Ibadan Airport, every week. There are about 10 flights that depart every week from the Ibadan Airport for short destinations. BE1 is the smallest commercial aircraft that takes off from the airport. The airport offers flights to Abuja, a city in Nigeria. In fact there are 2 daily flights plying between Abuja and Ibadan. Most of the international flights to Nigeria stop at Abuja or Lagos. If you want to fly to Ibadan then catch a flight to Abuja. Then from Abuja take a flight to Ibadan. From the airport take a taxi or a taxi vans( danfos) or private cars to reach your hotel.

How to go to Ibadan: By Train

Ibadan houses one railway station called the Ibadan Railway station. After alighting at the Lagos Airport catch a train to Ibadan. The Ibadan Railway Station consists of a railway line running from Lagos to Kano.

Getting to Ibadan: By Road

From Lagos you can hire a private car and drive along the expressway that connects Lagos and Ibadan. However, the road does not pass through the city. The journey from Lagos to Ibadan by road will take one hour and 45 minutes. It is advisable not to take the road to Ibadan from Abuja unless you are looking forward to sightseeing. It is best to fly to Lagos and then travel to Ibadan by road.
