  • The Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque in Lahore Punjab- this was built by Emperor Akbar in 1566 and it is locally known as the Shahi Qila. It can be easily located in the northwestern corner of Lahore adjoining the Walled City. Some of the other popular spots within the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque are the Alamgiri Gate, Naulakha pavilion, Sheesh Mahal, and Moti Masjid. The fort covers an area of 1400 feet by 1115 feet. In the same compound you will also find the Lahore Fort across the Alamgiri Gate and the entire establishment is a fine example of Mughal art and architecture. The Badshahi Mosque is believed to be one o the largest mosques in the world.

  • Shalimar Garden- Lahore- this was built by Shah Jahan and it lies approximately 5 kilometers east of Lahore. It is a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO. The garden truly reflects the Mughal-Persian style of architecture. There are about 450 fountains, three lakes and a marble pavilion over which the water flows down to create an artificial waterfall. There are the small earthenware lamps that are placed in the niches and when lighted these create a magical ambience.

  • Lahore Zoo was founded in 1872 besides the animals there are some species of trees that are nearly four centuries old.

    Also do not miss the Lahore Museum, Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, the National Museum of Pakistan- Karachi, the Cathedral of holy Trinity- Karachi, the Mausoleum of Hazrat Baha-ud-Din Zakaria, Multan, Mausoleum of Shah Rukn-i-Alam, Multan and the Khyber Pass in Peshawar.
