Weather in Pakistan

For all those who want to travel to the country, weather in Pakistan is one of the areas of concern. Situated in the northwestern part of the great Indian subcontinent, Pakistan is a large country. The western border of the country is dry and mountainous, whereas northern border with China and northeastern border with India comprise of the higher Himalayan peaks. The weather in Pakistan tends to be arid and extreme.

Though a large country, by and large, the climatic conditions in Pakistan are uniform. Weather in Pakistan can be classified into three principal seasons. From mid October to late February, climate in Pakistan is generally pleasant, sunny, and quite warm by day but nights are chilly and occasionally you can experience snowfall. During this time, the northern and western provinces in Pakistan receive some rain due to depressions moving in from the west.

Pakistan weather experiences rainy season from late June to early October. Under the influence of southwest monsoon most of the country receives rainfall during these months. Although the temperature is little low, the high level of humidity may cause discomfort. One of the characteristic of weather in Pakistan is the uneven distribution of rainfall throughout the country. While the rest of the country receives adequate rainfall, the desert area of the south and southeast receives a little. One of the most important city and economical hub Karachi too receives little rainfall.

The extremity of weather in Pakistan can be experienced during the summers. 10 to 12 hours of glaring sunrays make the atmosphere hot. Jacobabad in Pakistan is the hottest place in the world during summers. Traveling Pakistan in summer is precarious as chances of heat exhaustion or even heatstroke are high.
