The Currency of Papua New Guinea is Kina. It was introduced in 1975, replacing the Australian Dollar. Christmas is celebrated more or less in the same manner as in Australia. However in the remote villages the people do not have any idea of Christmas celebrations.

Papua New Guinea is one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse nations in this world. Tok Pisin and English are the widely spoken official languages. According to the constitution of Papua New Guinea it is a Christian country but many people retain their traditional religious belief.
