International Rugby Board or the IRB is the central and legal body of the world in the field of Rugby sport.This board was established in 1886 as the International Rugby Football Board by the joint effort of the countries like Scotland, Wales and Ireland. At first England was reluctant to join as a founder member but it did become the member of the union in 1890 and it was joined as the first member who did not take part in the foundation of the board. In 1997 the name of the International Rugby Football Board was changed as the International Rugby Board.
International Rugby Board has the main centers in Dublin and Republic of Ireland. This board consists of 95 full member Unions, 20 Associate members and six Regional Associations. The full member Unions held their meetings two times in a year and the Regional Associations arrange meetings frequently.
Rugby World Cup is the most famous and revenue earning sport among the other games organized by International Rugby Board. International Rugby Board offers money for the small nation. Women’s Rugby World Cup is also permitted by this board. International Rugby Board also has the control over the Rugby World Cup Ltd. Which has the all the capacity to regarding the World Cup.
