According to the game rule of Rugby World Cup 20 teams are eligible for this year’s Rugby World Cup. These 20 teams are divided into four pools such as Rugby World Cup- Pool A, Pool B, Pool C and Pool D.
Every pool consists of five Teams and each and every team within a pool has to face the other team. In the first phase of the game every team of a pool will play 40 matches each, so every pool will have 40 matches each.

The placement of the teams in different pools is settled according to the Rugby World Cup 2007 draw. In the third Quarter Final match winner of Rugby World Cup Teams- Pool A will have to play with the runner of Pool B.
