It is said that when he was beheaded milk ran from the wound. Parts of St. Panteleimon relics are to be found in all over the Christian world. His head is kept in Russian St. Panteleimon monastery on the Athos Mountain.
Church of the Saint Panteleimon in Saint Petersburg has a dedicated choir. They also sing together as members of a folk ensemble at St. Petersburg University. They have traveled extensively in northern and northwestern Russia collecting and performing traditional folk music of Russian villages.
The St. Panteleimon Choir has performed in concert tours to Austria, Germany and the United States to help raise money for the restoration of the church. A part of the purchase price of every CD or tape goes to St. Petersburg to help rebuild the St. Panteleimon Church.
