Novosibirsk Art Gallery
Novosibirsk Art Gallery is situated in Krasny Prospect in Novosibirsk in Russia. The art gallery covers an area of 9499 square kilometers. It is open to visitors from 11 am to 7 pm on all days of the week except on Mondays. It was founded in Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in the year 1957. Formerly the gallery used to be located on the first floor of a 5 storeyed building on Sverodlova Street. It held its first exposition there in the 1958. However it was later shifted to Krasny Prospect . The building which presently houses the gallery was built in 1926 by renowned architect named A.D Kriachkov. It has a rich collection of works of art -1635 paintings, 4008 graphics, 293 sculptors, 2111 decorative arts. 541 icons and 364 castings.
Novosibirsk Museum of Regional Studies
Novosibirsk Museum of Regional Studies is a treasure trove of a rare collection of artifacts, antiquities,photographs, paintings covering the culture, ethnography and history of Siberia. The collections in the museum include :
