There are some other names as well, like Bisuri and Baekdalsan as it is believed that the rain water is actually the tears of the mountains. There are many legends that are associated with the name of the mountain. One of the popular one being that the shape of the mountain stretching like a chicken’s feet. This mountain range meets the Sikhsngsun mountain range at the Secheon Pass. The mountain range stretches at the south to Seokbong-dong and Miho-dong which is close to the Daecheong Dam.

Getting to Mt. Gyejoksan, Daejeon
One can take regular buses or deluxe buses to Hoedeok, SIntanjin, Birae-dong, Jungri-dong and Songchon-dong. Bus no. 714 leaves regularly every 40 minutes for Hang-dong. The service is extended to Sandi Village.
Visitors to Mt. Gyejoksan, Daejeon can enjoy some nice dishes at Bokjori Garden, located at Eodeumgol in Yeonchuk-dong. The specialty here is the Yeongji Mushrooms that are brought from Gyejoksan and Jangdong Pears.
