To see all these species and to watch the beautiful surrounding, you have to take the well-developed climbing course. In this mountain, you would find a short climbing course. It is less than 10 kilometers in length; therefore it is possible to go to the top of the peak and then come down in one day. However, the weather conditions change quite often in the locality and it is quite windy on the top, therefore before climbing up the mountain, be prepared.
Since this famous mountain and national park is located in the southernmost part of Korea therefore you would find the summit of the mountain ringed with clouds. The peaks are covered with snow during winter and when the first rays of the sun falls on this snowy kingdom, the scenery is really breathtaking!
Another excellent sightseeing attraction of the Mt Hallasan National Park, Jeju is the lake crater. According to the folklores, some benevolent wizards lived on the mountains and used to come to Lake Crater for entertaining themselves by riding on white deer. That is why the lake came to be known as Baekrokdam or Hundred Deer Lake.
