Among the Parks in Seoul, visit the Boramae Park, Seoul, which is strategically located and is one of the most famous parks in the region. The beautiful Boramae Park, Seoul is located in Sindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu. The Boramae Park in Seoul was constructed according to the City Facility Plan on June, 1986. The total area of the park is about 420,552 square meters.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government took over the old National Air Force Academy in the year 1985 and added a grass field and an air-plain exhibition hall to the Park. The name, “Boramae” means brave air-force personnel. Of the Parks at Seoul, Boramae Park, Seoul offers the major facilities such as playground, a grass field, a library, a youth training center and a small-size zoo.

The zoo of the Boramae Park has in store a well-equipped gymnasium and lovely swimming pools for the tourists to enjoy swimming at the end of a tiresome journey to the city. The Boramae Park, Seoul is like a refreshing paradise for the travelers who have come for the first time in the city.

This lovely Boramae Park also has a pond, a forest, a promenade and a jogging track. The pond id what the tourists should look forward to. This 9,070 square meters wide and 2 meters deep pond has weeping willows surrounding the lovely pond. There are many kinds of ducks, carps, and Prussian carps to be seen in and around the pond of the Boramae Park, Seoul.

Also inside the Boramae Park, you will get to see 192 meters bare-foot track near the pond. It provides citizens opportunities of acupressure therapy experience of a lifetime. The small-size zoo at the park has 60 animals of 12 species which include dears, peacocks and rabbits and hares. In the lovely Boramae Park, Seoul, there is a youth center for the youths of the area to avail books from the library that is located here.

A variety of facilities is available in the Park such as a library with 2,500 seats, table tennis courts, a fitness center, a media room, a visual media room and a PC room. The Boramae Park also includes a variety of entertainment options for the tourists.

The park has a number of main offices of local organizations such as the Dongjak Citizens’ Hall, the office of the Korean Youth Federation, the office of the Korean Liberty Federation and office of the Korean Athletic Association.
