The Parks in Seoul are some of the top-notch tourist attractions in Seoul. There are many parks and beautiful gardens in the region that offers the tiresome tourists scope to relax and stroll in the parks. Parks in Seoul are many and are seen scattered throughout the city.
Of the Seoul Parks, mention can be made of the following:
4.19 Memorial Cemetery in Seoul is located in a lovely strategic position in the city in South Korea. In the year 1995, it became a national cemetery in memory of the 224 young protestors, who were killed in a pro-democracy demonstration on April 19, 1960.
At that time, Korea’s first President, Syng-Man Rhee had rigged the ballots in order to ensure his second Presidential term. The angry students and youths of the country attempted to remove the unpopular President from power. This resulted in open fire after tear gas by the security guards. The park includes a museum, mausoleum and statues as well as the badminton and tennis courts, and the roller-skating area for the enjoyment of the tourists.
Among the lovely Parks in Seoul, the Boramae Park is a good option for the travelers to sit and get refreshed. The Park is located on the site of what was once the Air Force Academy at earlier times.
