  • Gyeongbokgung Palace: This magnificent palace, positioned in the northern part of Seoul, was the largest and most important palace of the Joseon Dynasty. It is one of the Five Grand Palaces constructed by this dynasty. The National Folk Museum of Korea is situated on the site of the Gyeongbokgung Palace.

  • Changdeok-gung: Situated in a large park in the city, this majestic palace is another of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty kings. One of the famous Tourist Attractions in Seoul. This palace is located in the east of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Hence, Changdeok-gung palace is also known as the East Palace.

  • Mount Inwang: This 336-meter high mountain is situated in Chongno-gu in downtown Seoul. The summit of this mountain is made of several enormous granite peaks. The various rocks found here have interesting names like Train Rock, Dress Rock, Hat Rock, Dew Rock, and Worm Rock. You can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city from the summit of Mount Inwang. In the evening, the site of Mount Inwang looks stunning.

  • Seodaemun Prison: This place of interest was formerly a prison that was later on converted into a museum. Situated in Seodaemun-gu area, the construction of this structure commenced in the year 1907. At that time Korea was considered as a province of Japan. On 21st October, 1908 the prison was reopened under the name of Gyeongseong Gamok. The prison got its present name in the year 1923.
