Daejeon is one of the metropolitan cities in South Korea. It is located in the heart of the country of South Korea. It is the country's fifth largest city. Daecheongho Lake is the Korea's third largest lake. Surrounded by mountains and lush greenery, the Daecheongho Lake serves to supply water to the regions of Daejeon and Cheongju. The lake covers an area of 73 square kilometers. It extends to a length of 80 kilometers. A dam of length 495 meters and height 72 meters stands over the lake. The road which runs around the lake offers a great driving route. The reflection of the surrounding mountains and the trees in the crystal clear waters of the lake is mesmerizing. The region around the lake is dotted with restaurants serving piping hot spicy soups prepared from fresh fishes caught from the lake. The Daecheongho Lake region houses an observation platform from where you can enjoy sweeping views of the scenic landscapes, the placid lake and the dam.

Mt. Sikjangsan is one of the eco-tourist attractions in the city of Daejeon. The mountain soars to a height of 623.6 meters. It is situated close to Panam-dong in Dong-gu. The Mt. Sikjangsan is Daejeon's highest mountain. From up here if you look towards the east, you will get a good view of the downtown part of the city. The Secheon Park is situated towards the northeast of the mountain. The park covered by dark and deep forests is home to 6000 various kinds of plants.
