Barcelona is a city in Spain with many dense forests. The various patches of greenery in the city have been beautifully converted into parks, gardens and zoos. Bird watchers enjoy visiting this place as different species of birds can be seen here. It is a breeding ground for egrets, biiteerns, lapwings and myriad. Marine land Catalonia is a marine zoo with a water park. The zoo has a Dolphinorium that is one of the famous in Europe. Regular shows of dolphin and sea lions, other free flying parrots and birds are a sight to watch.
Barcelona Aquarium is the best in Europe and it has an unprecedented collection of marine life. There are varieties of species of fish and about twenty species of penguin. Tenerife Loro Parque has many animal species including the world’s largest collection of penguins. There are also silver back gorillas, panthers and many more. It also has the largest collection of parrots. In the open area there are many animals like gorillas, chimpanzees, tigers, jaguars, alligators, flamingos and tortoise.
There is a crocodile park here that has become the largest crocodile sanctuary in Europe. There are about 300 crocodiles. Exhibitions are conducted to demonstrate from the development stage of eggs to fully-grown crocodiles. In addition to this there are also chimpanzees, tigers, jaguars, camels and even pygmy goats.
