After that take a round trip around the fountain! Three eye-catching monuments have covered this area from different corners. The first one is Palacio de Comunicaciones or communications palace. The construction was done in the year 1905-1917. It was headquarter of post office. Now the area inside the building is developed for Postal and Telegraphic Museum. The history of Madrid Postal system can be revealed here. The small details in the advancement of postal system like postal pigeons are also preserved with the modern communication satellite tools. The outlook of the building reminds us on the old cathedral.
After recalling the history, you can visit the Bank next to it. Banco de Espana is the old construction of bank in which many renovations were made later till 1975. The important part of this area is that below the surface deep in 30m, the bank used to store the precious gold. The old method of security for this room was the flooding from the room in case of any danger. But now modern security is used in the Bank.
The opposite side of Bank is covered with a building of Art museum. Built in the year 1873, the one rich banker made it in that time of modern architecture and it was renovated in the year 1992. The building is used now for displaying American arts and Latin artworks. But it is said that the building is not that much safe having the haunting areas with spirits. But the beauty of this gorgeous monument hides this fact and many visitors come here to see the classic artwork.
