What are the special features of Museo Picasso Malaga?There are 12 permanent exhibition halls. There is a display of the permanent collection of about 200 works of art by Picasso in these 12 halls. They include a classic work by Picasso such as 'Olga Kokhlova with Mantilla', 'Portrait of Paulo with white hat' and 'Mother and Child'. There is a display of several sketches and ceramics.

The museum consists of about 204 permanent works and paintings by Picasso. The main collection includes the works donated by Christine Picasso and her son Bernard Ruiz-Picasso. She donated 9 sculptures, 14 oil paintings, 44 drawings, a sketchbook of the Royan series with other 36 drawings, 7 ceramics and 58 etching. Her son, Bernard Ruiz-Picasso donated 2 drawings, 5 oil paintings, 5 ceramics and 10 etchings.

What are other attractions in the museum? There are also temporary exhibitions held in other four halls. In the basement, you will see the Roman and Phoenician ruins that were discovered during the renovation of the building. They are beautifully preserved and wonderfully displayed.

There is also a bookshop. It specializes in the modern art publications on Picasso and his contemporaries. There is an Auditorium where the lectures and courses are held. You will see the performance by the flamenco artists, musicians and the contemporary theatre groups in this auditorium. There are also other facilities such as assembly hall, an educational department, a library, an educational department and investigation & promotion center.

On Sunday and Holidays, it is open from 10am to 8 pm.
