Spain is one of the favorite tourist destinations in Europe and is situated in the southern part of the continent. There are many Airports in Spain, connecting it to several parts of the world. The total number of Airports in Spain is forty-seven out of which twenty are international.

The Airports in Spain are divided in two parts, Northern and Southern. Barcelona, Gerona, Madrid, Bilbao, Oviedo, Valladolid and Reus airports are considered as northern international airports. Barcelona and Madrid airports are very busy international airports.

Alicante, Jerez, Almeria, Malaga and Menorca are the international airports located in southern Spain. Malaga airport has the facility to accommodate more than 10 million passengers. It is well organized and thereby very comfortable to the passengers. The flights are routed through some of the main airports. Popular destinations are America, Canada and South America as well as all parts of Europe.

    A large number of travelers visit Barcelona every year. Barcelona airport can be easily accessed from the C31 and C32 motorways as it is located just 10km South West of Barcelona centre.     Madrid Airport is a busy place with thousands of tourists visiting the place, every year. This airport is located 13km north east of the city and has a good access to the motorway system. Malaga and Alicante are the international airports in the Southern part of Spain.

    Malaga is situated about 8km South East of the city. Alicante Airport is situated 9km South West of the city. Easy public transport is available for all the international airports of the region.
