Reputed for its charming wooden houses, the city of Haga, Gothenburg in Sweden forms an attractive tourist destination. It also features the smallest community center in the country. In order to fit in the enhancing rate of workers, other districts for them have been developed in the following years. however, in the latter period, most of the public works were shut down. This led to the transformation of the region into a residential complex.

It was in the year 1970, the Haga Group was created with the aim of conserving the original art and architecture of the land. During the years 1973 and 1977, several buildings and houses have been refurbished and restored by the local authorities. At present, Haga, Gothenburg has a population of about 4,000 people. The area harbors various cafes, restaurants and artistic buildings. The entire area reflects an old world charm of the 19th century. The wooden houses with its stylistic grace appeal to the aesthetic tastes of the tourists. It is here where visitors can purchase several antique items including arts and crafts works. Haga Nygata which is the main street in the area is the spot where one can come across several bookstores, crafts shops and dealers displaying and selling rare and artistic items.

Haga, Gothenburg is located at a walking distance from the center of the city. Tourists can also board trams 1, 3, 4 or 9 from Brunnsparken to Hagakyrkan in order to arrive at this place.
