  • Museum Gustavianum of Uppsala University: Built in the 1620s to be the main building of the oldest university of Scandinavia, the Gustavianum presently houses the University Museum. There are five permanent exhibitions in the museum.
  • Gamla Uppsala Sights & Attractions: Gamla Uppsala is dotted with numerous pre-Viking and pre-historic burial mounds. An old church and the open-air museum Disagården are also there in Gamla Uppsala.
  • Uppsala Castle: This is a towering fortress that was built to guard the country from rebels. It houses a ‘cross castle’ and a ‘long castle’. The Hall of State is placed inside the ‘cross castle’.
  • Old Uppsala Train Station: Located across the tracks from the Uppsala train station, this old station now houses modern galleries, shops, and a café-cum-pub.
  • Sigtuna Sights & Attractions: Sigtuna is the first town of Sweden. Established in the year 980 by the Viking king Eric Segersall, Sigtuna is home to the oldest street in the country.
  • Uppsala University Library - Codex Argenteus Manuscript: The world-famous Codex Argenteus Manuscript, better known as the ‘Silver Bible’, is the most precious manuscript of the Uppsala University Library.
  • Uppsala Cathedral: This cathedral is one of the most popular Tourist Attractions in Uppsala. The largest church building in Scandinavia, this cathedral was inaugurated in the year 1435.
