It was only in 1741, when Carl Linnaeus, a professor of medicine at Uppsala University, revived the garden. He was successful in collecting 1000 of foreign plants. All these plants were grown in the Botanical Gardens, Uppsala. Presently this garden is known as the Linnaeus’ Garden.
