In the year 1830 the lion’s slope was built and was named after the lion sculptures that stood there.
The palace is mainly built of brick. The front of the palace was built of sandstone. The roof of the palace is covered with copper sheets which stretches the entire main building. There are a total of 609 rooms and boasts of being one of the largest royal palaces in the world.
