Anundshog, Vasteras is an important place for sightseeing in Vasteras. This Sweden’s largest burial mound located just outside the city boundaries of Vasteras. It is short distance off from the highway. This epochal mound built in memory of Anund rises about twelve to fifteen yards above the ground. The Vikings built this mound about a millennium ago.
Anundshog in Vasteras have about five settings of stone that resembles the ships of the Vikings. There is a stone setting in a single straight line in front of the highway that was erected to mark the road that newly crowned king had to take in order to receive the tributes from his people as a mark of respect and acceptance. The fascinating part of the rustic stone is the engravings which resembles a man and a woman holding each other tightly.
