Palmyra can be reached easily from Damascus by bus. A luxury bus trip will cost about 125 pound per person. Buses also ply from Homs and Deir-az-Zur to Palmyra. Once one reaches these places by road or rail from Turkey, Lebanon or Jordan one take a connecting route to the city.
