The Education Center was opened on July 26, 1997; the museum park was opened on September 21, 1997. 10 permanent exhibition halls were opened on November 9, 1997. All the exhibition halls were opened to the public were opened on November 8, 1988. The engineering construction for elevators, computer facilities , building furnishing (Phase ll ), education center, air regulation, utility facilities, building furnishing (Phase l ), landscape and exhibitions had been started by 1992.

The Collections and Research Division features collection, research, preservation, conservation and exchange of scientific technical history.
