The Confucius Temple of Qu Fu in Shantung is the largest and most antique one of China's Confucius temples. Situated at the unique locale of Confucius home, this temple has boomed for more than 2,000 years for becoming at wonderful level.

From the Ming and Ching Dynasties, some regions and municipalities of China have established the Confucius temples. At that time, these were known as Confucian schools for serving the hubs for Confucian learning and teaching in common.

Confucius Temple, Taipei origins back to the year 1875 when the Qing court built in Taipei as a territorial city for Northern Taiwan. In the year 1879, production was first started in Taipei City featuring the literary and military temples that were to be established inside the southern entrance of the city. Both temples of Confucius Temple, Taipei faced south. This temple has a Literary Temple on the left side and the Martial Temple on the right side.

At the starting of the creation of the temple, an expert was brought to watch over the geomancy of the site of this temple. The erection was started in the year 1927 and next year in the month of April, a ceremony was took place for placing the major beam of the Da Cheng Hall. On 27th August, 1930, Confucius birthday was rejoiced in Taipei for the first time in more than thirty years.

After the three major halls of Confucius Temple, Taipei, which were the Da Cheng Hall, the Yi Gate and the Chong Sheng Shrine, the two tiny rooms of the huge hall were finished. The construction of this temple was for the time being was stopped because of a sudden fall in donations. By 1935, Koo Hsien-jung and Huang Tsan-chun started advocating the production to be continued and moved out to accumulate more donations.

However, in the year of 1939, the construction of this building was over making the stunning architecture of Confucius Temple, Taipei. Today, the whole temple complex encompasses a region of 185,000 square feet and the structures here include an area of more than 50,000 square feet.

Confucius Temple, Taipei includes several structures in it. The Hong Gate, Wan Ren Palace Wall, Pan Palace, Yi Path, Li Gate and Pan Pond are the most attractive to the tourists. The Ling Xing gate is established like an honorific arch at the entrance of the temple. Yi Path serves as a main door of the Da Cheng Hall in this temple. The architectural efficiency is observed in The Da Cheng hall of the temple. Apart from all these, there are lot more architectural examples here in this temple.
