The temple is very simple in art and décor, and incorporates a Japanese style garden. The Yenpin Prefectural Temple, near the Zhongyang Road, is the oldest temple in Hualian. The fine Pine Garden is a peaceful garden with 63 pine trees. Hualian Ocean Park is Hualian's biggest man-made tourist attraction, which worth a visit.
Chishingtan, located in the north of Hualian City offers outstanding vistas of the ocean, delicious seafood, friendly people and a special restaurant that specializes in goat milk coffee.
