How to Reach
By air you can reach the Red City by taking flights to Casablanca. From there you will need to take another flight to Marrakesh, 45 minutes away. The Marrakesh international airport, the Ménara International Airport is 10 miles away which can be reached by taking a taxi to the main city.
If you are traveling from the United States of America, then you can take the direct flights offered by Royal Air Maroc from the John F Kennedy airport in New York.
Regular train service from Rabat and hourly train from Casablanca take you to Marrakesh.
From other Moroccan cites like Essaouira, Asni and Ourika there are bus and taxi service to Marrakesh. For more adventurous travelers the road journey has a lot to offer.

What to See
Jama El Fna, the Casbah, the Yves St. Lauren Garden, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Medersa Ben Youssef, Criee Berbere, Koutoubia mosque, the El Bahia palace and the El Badi palace.
What to Do
Get enthralled in the Jama El Fna, travel to the Medina, shop in the local markets, go for day trips to the Atlas mountains, and most importantly, enjoy the sumptuous meals in the restaurants!
What to Eat
The stalls of Jama El Fna offer mouth watering local junk food. English food is also served, as also pasta, American pizza and spring rolls, buffet lunch for pure veggies and also French food are served.
What to Shop
Look out for special handmade carpets, silver ornaments and antiques, leather products, dyed goods, wooden furniture in the souqs of Marrakesh and require a lot of bargaining. A very special local product is the Moroccan Lamps. If you believe in the magic of herbs then you can buy them too.
