Culture of Tunisia is rich and attracts many travelers to come and experience the rich heritage of the African country. People of Tunisia:

The official language of Tunisia is Arabic, which is widely spoken in the country. Tunisian Arabic, which is closely related to Maltese, is the dialect. A minority section of the society speaks Shelha, language of the Berber tribe.

Tunisia features a rich Islamic heritage and considered as one of the holiest cities in Islam in Kairouan. About 99% of the population in Tunisia belongs to the Islamic community. Islam is the religion of the State according to the Constitution.

Several historical and religious sites in Tunisia exhibit the rich architecture present in the country. The mosque minaret, the shrine of Sidhi Mahraz in Tunis, shrine of Sidi Sahbi and shrine of Sidi Nasir el Barouchi are perfect examples to study the rich Islamic heritage and look at the architectural splendor.
