  • St. Paul’s Church, Tarsus

    This Church is located in Ulu Mosque District in the southern part of the city and was constructed during the 11th and 12th centuries. There is a bell tower located at the north east edge of the church. Frisks of Jesus Christ, Yohannes, Mattios, Marcos and Lucas adorn the center of the Church’s ceiling. The two sides of the glass in the center naphtha display a splendid panorama and angle descriptions. The west internal place and entrance of this church consists of a suspended wooden layer that is supported by first two columns. You can see intricately drawn paintings of scenery on the banisters of this central layer. The Vatican organized "St. Paul Symposium and Ceremony" in St. Paul Church in the year 1992 and 1993. This monument is an important pilgrimage site of Christians.

  • Old Mosque, Tarsus

    This historical structure is situated adjacent to Adana road and lies at a distance of approximately 100 m. north east of Makam Mosque. It was originally constructed as a church and was later transformed into mosque in 1415 by Ramazanoglu Ahmet Bey.

    This museum houses biblical artworks of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods, which offer an intriguing insight into the religious practices of these eras.
