St. Paul's Well is a pilgrimage destination for some and the water from the well is believed to have magical healing powers.

Next in the queue is the famous Cleopatra Gate, situated in western Tarsus on Mersin road. This historical gate dates to around 40 BC. In the upper part of Saglikli Village, 15 kilometers from Tarsus, are the remains of a Roman Road.

The Virgin of the Black Rock or The Black Virgin Near Izmir, is the most important and prestigious monastery of the area. The site clings to a cliff facing on a sharp slope near Altindere.
