Transportation in Sharjah: Airports in Sharjah

There are two airports in and around Sharjah namely the Sharjah International Airport and the Dubai International Airport. The Sharjah city center is located at a distance of 15 kilometers from the Sharjah International Airport. While it takes 20 minutes to reach the Dubai International Airport from the center of city of Sharjah by taxi.

The airlines serving the Sharjah International Airport are Air Arabia, Air India Express, Aria Tour, Indian Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, Sudan Airways, Pakistan International Airlines, Kuban Airlines. The airports offer both domestic and international flights.

There are no bus services or shuttle services plying from the airport. You have to catch a taxi to reach your hotel. The airport will charge 20 AED as a starting fee for providing taxis. However if you are looking forward to saving money then just walk to the road situated by the mosque where you can catch a taxi.

Sharjah Transportation: Getting around in the Sharjah

In Sharjah there are no bus services. For Transportation in Sharjah people have to rely on taxis or their own privately owned cars. The tourists can hire private cars for moving in and around the city. Sharjah taxis have always been unmetered. Presently, metered taxis are operational in the city.
