Located in the southwest of the province of British Columbia, Vancouver ranks third largest in size among Canada’s metropolitan areas. Most of the populace of the city are immigrants from different regions of the world. The citizens of the city are an immense multicultural and multiethnic collection of people who call themselves “Vancouverites”. The city began blossoming and prospering only after immigrants filtered into the city with the dreams of finding gold around its area. Currently the city of Vancouver is readying itself for the upcoming Winter Olympics in 2010.
