By air planes:
The Phu Bai airport of Hue operates daily flights to and from the Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. There are both domestic and international flights that land and take off from the Phu Bai airport in Hue. The services of these flights are quite satisfactory and will enable you to reach Hue nicely and at ease.
From the Phu Bai airport, you can take a taxi to get into any hotel of your choice and preference. Danang's airport is only 2 hours away by car and with the opening of the Hai Van Tunnel, the Hue city is better connected and more dependable.
By train:
Several trains come from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang to Hue. The journey down south through the Hai Van Pass is particularly scenic and from Danang, tourists can take a taxi or motorbike to get into Hue.
For Getting to Hue, you can even get into a second-class sleeper train from the Ho Chi Minh City to Hue. The traveling experience is very nice and will be memorable for the travelers.

Another way of Getting to Hue is by traveling in a bus. Public buses from all the bigger cities such as, Hanoi and Saigon connect to the main bus station of Hue called the Ben Xe Hue. The bus services are quite regular and include touring of the major sightseeing attractions of the city.
The buses extensively connect Hue to Hoi An or Da Nang to the south and Hanoi to the north. Buses to the Hanoi depart at 5:30 pm every day with stops in Dong Ha and one or two other places in Hue.
