Bach Ma National Park
Bach Ma National Park is one of the popular Tourist Attractions in Hue. The park is located in Hue in Thua Thiên-Hue province in central Vietnam. Spread over an area of 22,000 ha covering the districts of districts of Nam Dong and Phu Loc, the Bach Ma National park is home to exotic flora and fauna. The park was founded in 1991 to to protect the stretch of the lovely forest extending from South China Sea till the Annamite range.
Look out for its beautiful landscapes - the steep mountains and the lush green tropical forests. The Bach Ma Mountain stands majestically in the park soaring to a height of 1450 meters above sea-level. The sea is situated at a stone's throw away from the park. Bach Ma National Park encloses two types of forests - the tropical lowland forest and the subtropical submontane forest. The forests are home to 2147 species of plants of which 86 species are endangered species. The park has over 500 species of medicinal plants. Some of the plants and tress found in the park include Rhododendron species, rosewood, eaglewood, oak, chestnut, palms, orchids.
Perfume River
The Perfume River is where the heart of the people of Hue lies. The river is a symbol of harmony, romanticism poetry and tranquility. The river is said to have two sources in the Truong Range. The Left tributary or the Ta Trach makes its way from the from the Truong Dong mountain towards the northwest and passes through 55 stunning waterfalls and finally meets the Bang Lang fork. While the right tributary or the Huu Trach flows through 14 mystifying dangerous waterfalls and meets the Bang Lang Fork. At Bang Lang Fork the two tributaries meet to form the Perfume River. The river flows by the Hue city. Hue is alled the Land of the Perfume River. The tourists to this city must take a boat ride along the idyllic perfume River.
