China Travel Tips

China is a beautiful country. It is any tourist's delight. There are so many things to see once you enter the mighty country, the land of Mao Zedong. China is not only a country of history and politics but also a country of various tourist attractions. The beauty of china lies in its variety that it offers to any traveller from outside the country. China Travel Tips are however required before you enter the country.

Among the China Travel Tips the first thing to know is the best time to visit the country. Spring (March-April) and autumn (September-October) are the best times to visit China, though the higher altitude areas of Tibet, Qinghai and Western Sichuan are best visited in the hot seasons (June-September). Daytime temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C (68°F-86°F) in these seasons but the nights are bitterly cold and it can sometimes be wet and miserable. An important tip for tourists is to avoid visiting China during the major public holidays, in particular the Chinese New Year because it is very difficult to get around in the country and find accommodation at this point of time.

An important tip among the China Travel Tips is to get acquainted with the fact that though there are many ports in China, most of the visitors to China travel via Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing. The national carrier of China is Air China that operates a company called Dragon Air as a joint venture with the Hong Kong airline CathayPacific. Generally tourists are advised to take this flight. Some of the famous routes of China include Laos-China, the Trans-Siberian railway, Tibet-Nepal and Xinjiang-Kazakstan. However outside cars are not allowed as foreigners are rarely allowed to drive in China. Other entry points include Zhuhai-Macau, Kashgar-Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan, via the Torugart or Irkeshtam passes), Beijing-Pyongyang (North Korea) and Pinxiang/Hekou-Dong Dang/Lao Cai (Vietnam). One can take a slow boat to China from Japan or South Korea also.

Getting ready with the useful things like passport, visa, etc also falls within the ambit of China Travel Tips. So, get ready and enjoy visiting the the Great Wall of China and several other adorable locations.
