The Kopoje site and the Eternal Flame of Independence: This place is a major attraction among the many places of interest in Harare. It is located on a hill outside the town and offers an excellent panoramic view. The site is famous for the eternal flame which burns throughout the year.

Ewanrigg National Park: The Park is about half an hour from the town and has a huge garden which has an excellent collection of flowers. Among the various flowers that dot this garden, the aloes and cycads mainly bloom during July and August.

Chapungu Kraal: This is basically a traditional village which developed during the 19th century. The place is best visited during weekends when the visitors can enjoy the different forms of tribal dances. The village also houses an art gallery and sculpture gardens. Lion Park and Lake McIlwaine Game Park: These two parks are located at the southern end of the city and house various types of animals like lions, giraffes and rhinos.

The Mukuvisi Woodlands: Sightseeing in Harare can never be complete without a visit to this woodland. This woodland has a total area of about 277 hectares and is situated near the banks of the Mukuvisi stream. The woodland houses a variety of migratory birds and different animal species which include giraffe, zebra, impala, tsessche, wildebeest, bushbuck, steenbuck, reed buck and elands.

Tengenenge Sculpture Society: This place is located to the north of Tengenenge, a fertile farmland. The place has a huge collection of thousands of stone sculptures. The sculptures are made by very skilled artists who reside within the premises. The tourists can interact with them for knowing more about their works.
